The National Association for the Blind (NAB), Uttarakhand, is envisioned as an inclusive institutional facility dedicated to education, rehabilitation, and empowerment of the visually challenged. The architectural design emphasizes accessibility, clarity of movement, and a strong civic identity. A prominent entrance pavilion with shaded pergola structures creates a welcoming and legible arrival experience, while responding to the regional climate. The building layout integrates training, administrative, and support spaces around barrier-free circulation, landscaped courts, and shaded walkways. Use of natural light, simple material palettes, and intuitive spatial organization enhances comfort and orientation. Overall, the project reflects a sensitive, dignified, and functional environment aligned with NAB’s mission of social inclusion and community support.
