Kumaon Plaza is a landmark mixed-use commercial and hospitality development in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, designed by Pande and Associates to create a strong urban presence while responding to the regional architectural character of the Kumaon region. Strategically located on NH-74, the project combines retail spaces, offices, restaurants, and hotel functions within a cohesive contemporary commercial complex that contributes actively to the city’s growing business corridor.


The architectural language draws inspiration from traditional hill architecture through the use of warm stone cladding, deeply recessed openings, arched entry forms, and rhythmically articulated façades. The building balances regional identity with modern commercial planning, resulting in a timeless façade that enhances both visibility and user experience. A prominent central entrance establishes a strong civic character, while the active street-facing arcade creates an engaging pedestrian environment for shoppers, visitors, and local businesses.


Planned as a high-footfall commercial destination in Kashipur, Kumaon Plaza integrates hospitality, retail, and public interaction within a unified architectural framework. The project emphasizes durability, contextual materiality, efficient circulation, and long-term commercial adaptability—key principles that define the design philosophy of Pande and Associates as leading commercial architects in Uttarakhand.


Today, Kumaon Plaza stands as a recognizable commercial landmark in Kashipur, reflecting the firm’s expertise in mixed-use architecture, hospitality design, façade development, and regionally responsive commercial architecture in North India.
