Corbett Farm Land, Balparav, Uttarakhand is envisioned as a serene countryside retreat that blends seamlessly with its natural setting. The architecture is defined by simple circular forms crowned with sloping thatched roofs, thick plastered walls, and deep verandahs that offer shade and thermal comfort. Low-rise in scale and earthy in expression, the built form sits gently within the landscape, allowing natural light, open views, and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The design draws inspiration from the vernacular farmhouses and rural dwellings of the Terai and Himalayan foothills, reinterpreting traditional forms and materials in a contemporary hospitality context. Organic geometry, passive design strategies, and handcrafted details come together to create a calm, authentic, and timeless environment that celebrates simplicity, local culture, and a close relationship with nature.
